We started as a private clinic in Harrogate, specialising in port wine stains in 1990. From there we opened our first standalone clinic in Birmingham City Hospital in 1993, followed by clinic in Harley Street in the same year. sk:n Brands, Adonia Group, The Harley Medical Group, The Mole Clinic and Destination Skin all became part of sk:n Group during the last five years as we have sought to continuously broaden our offering and create our own health and wellbeing ecosystem. Founded in 2003, and with a mission to help lower the UK’s skin cancer mortality rate through early detection, the Mole Clinic has developed innovative, high quality screening services for all. Recognised and used by a plethora of private medical providers including BUPA, Alliance Surgical & Vitality Health, the Mole Clinic is also an approved NHS Supplier. It has also been approved by the British Skin Foundation as well as the Skin Health Alliance, and the organisation is Care Quality Commission Regulated. The Mole Clinic constantly strives for innovation in its field, and in recent years its founder and leading clinical practitioner Dr Iain Mack developed the UKs first Skin Cancer Screening App using AI. The app has been used by the NHS now for a number of years to help reduce waiting times as well as associated costs.
